Serving a beverage in a specialty glass elevates the drinking experience. North Drinkware, a nature inspired hand-blown glass company based in Portland, Oregon, offers a variety of premium glassware featuring the majestic mountains of the Pacific Northwest at the base of their exclusive PNW collection. “We design our glasses using accurate 3-D USGS data of the mountains,” explains Kendrick VanEe, Director of Marketing, North Drinkware. “All of our glasses are individually hand blown in a skilled process.”

The delicate 15 step process begins with heating the glass until it is malleable. A skilled artisan molds the glass into the shape of a beer or whiskey glass, later adding the mountain base. The process is repeated and takes two days to complete. “This process is repeated hundreds of times a day by our team of artisans in Portland, Oregon for our patented designs,” says VanEe. “We proudly work with 100% local partners to produce every piece of our drinkware.”

The idea to start North Drinkware began in 2015. A fund was set up to raise money to start the business venture. Co-founders Matt Capozzi and Nic Ramirez hoped to raise fifteen thousand dollars to fund production tooling, equipment and the first large set of glasses. The goal was enthusiastically met, and North Drinkware was launched. “Our brand started in Portland, Oregon with the idea of capturing Mt. Hood in the bottom of a pint glass. This was our first product which launched in 2015,” says VanEe.

Since then, the company expanded to offer pint and tumbler sized glassware featuring mountain ranges from throughout the US. Custom woven blankets, cozy spa towels and sturdy coasters are also available for purchase. “We believe that sharing stories of adventure with a hand-crafted product, made in the USA, brings friends, family and our community closer together,” explains VanEe.

North Drinkware offers products that celebrate the mountain terrains throughout the US. One percent of glass sales goes towards supporting the community surrounding the mountain featured in every glass purchase. “We are proud members of 1% For The Planet and believe in giving back to the mountains,” says VanEe.
